AI4People 2020 third Committees’ Meetings

Between June 15th and June 26th, the third session of AI4People Committee’s meetings took place. Due to the persisting situation with COVID-19, all meetings where carried out in videoconference.

The seven committees, composed of scientific members and representatives of business partners, highlighted the specific needs of each of the vertical business sectors they represent: Automotive, Banking & Finance, Energy, Healthcare, Insurance, Legal Services Industry, Media & Technology.

During the meetings, sector specific case studies were selected and analysed by relating them to the 7 Key Requirements for a Trustworthy AI presented by the Commission, also considering the White Paper on Artificial Intelligence – A European approach to excellence and trust (Published by the European Commission on February 19th, 2020).

AI4People Committees’s activities will continue in the next months, in view of the forthcoming Committees’ meetings expected to take place at the end of September 2020, in order to produce a second draft version of the 7 Good AI Global Frameworks, intended to provide some practical steps that businesses operating within these industries must take to be compliant with the 7 Key Requirements.

The 7 Good AI Global Framework will be presented to the European Parliament and the European Commission during the AI4People Summit on December 1st and 2nd 2020.
