10th October, Brussels: Atomium-EISMD is proud to announce the European Consultation on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI).
ECAI was set up to organize an extensive and first of its kind consultation of the public-at-large on Artificial Intelligence.
Engaging citizens in this crucial debate – and collecting their opinions on one of the most relevant subject matters of our time – is an utmost priority in order to create policies that are considerate of the public’s opinion on AI, its Ethics and its Governance.
ECAI is to be held across twelve European Countries namely: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and United Kingdom. It will be organized as an autonomous program of which AI4People will be Knowledge Partner but to which both the European Commission and Parliament will participate.
ECAI will be publicly launched by Atomium – EISMD’s leading Media Partners in May 2020 and will continue for 3 consecutive weeks.
The results of this extensive and international public consultation will be presented in June 2020 by Atomium-EISMD, with ECAI’s media partners, to the newly elected President of the European Parliament and to the newly elected President of the European Commission. The final dates of public consultation will soon be decided along with the media partners.
